Luis Enrique Targets Gavi As PSG Eye Barcelona Raid After Ferran Torres Deal

Spanish manager Luis Enrique is actively working behind the scenes to secure a deal for Gavi. According to <span style="color: #c90000;">El Nacional</span>, the Paris Saint-Germain head coach has approached his president. He has asked Nasser Al-Khelaïfi to submit an offer of €50 million.

This ambitious move is taking shape ahead of the January 2027 transfer window. The PSG boss intends to revitalise the 22-year-old talent, who was born in Los Palacios y Villafranca. He hopes to help him rediscover his peak form in the French capital.

Paris Saint-Germain have a major asset inside their dressing room to tip the scales. According to El Nacional, Ferran Torres, who arrived in 2026, is regularly in touch with Gavi. The forward is reportedly encouraging him to join the Parisian project and reunite with his former national team manager.

This push takes full advantage of the current situation in Catalonia. Under Hansi Flick, FC Barcelona boast fierce competition in midfield with Pedri, Dani Olmo, Fermín López, and Marc Bernal. That depth has significantly limited his playing time.

Administrative hurdles stand firmly in the way for Paris Saint-Germain. The midfielder is under contract with Barcelona until June 30, 2030. His deal includes a €1 billion release clause.
