Luis Enrique Demands Barcelona Defender Eric Garcia As PSG Ready Huge Offer

Head coach Luis Enrique has reportedly made Eric Garcia his top target to bolster his central defence. The Paris Saint-Germain manager has apparently set aside potential moves for Gavi and Alejandro Balde to focus his efforts entirely on the Catalan centre-back.

To convince Barcelona chiefs, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is reportedly ready to table a massive offer of €70 million. That figure far exceeds the player’s market value, which is currently estimated at €40 million by Transfermarkt.

The task looks particularly tricky given Hansi Flick‘s firm stance at FC Barcelona. An undisputed regular, Eric Garcia has featured in 6 of 7 La Liga matches this season. What is more, he remains tied down until June 2031 following his recent contract extension.

To break the deadlock, Luis Enrique and Luis Campos reportedly plan to rely on the presence of Fabián Ruiz and Ferran Torres in the Parisian dressing room.
