‘Back To Back To Back’ – Luis Campos Sets Sights On Historic PSG Champions League Feat
Riding high on recent continental triumphs, Paris Saint-Germain are already setting their sights on another European title driven directly by Luis Campos. This relentless pursuit of dominance puts the club under huge pressure to leave a lasting mark on the history of modern football.
How The European Three-Peat Obsession Began In Budapest
Speaking to Pedro Pinto on the Portugal Football Summit Podcast, Luis Campos reflected on lifting the European trophy in 2026. Following the dramatic penalty-shootout win over Arsenal in Budapest (1-1, 4-3 on penalties), the Portuguese executive was already looking ahead. He revealed that he immediately urged the squad to target an historic third consecutive title right after sealing back-to-back European crowns.
That relentless drive stems from sustained consistency at the top of European football. After thrashing Inter Milan 5-0 in the 2025 final in Munich, Paris Saint-Germain confirmed their powerhouse status on the continental stage. The Parisian side went on to cruise past Slovan Bratislava with a 6-1 victory on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the Parc des Princes.
A Strong Management Core Between Nasser Al-Khelaïfi And Luis Enrique
That success stems from complete harmony at the top of the Paris Saint-Germain sports management hierarchy. The football advisor made sure to praise the unwavering backing of president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi in every day-to-day decision. Luis Campos highlighted the trust given by the Qatari executive to carry out the club’s sporting project.
The tribute also extends to the work done on the pitch by the coaching staff. Luis Campos highlighted the steady tactical growth shown by Luis Enrique in the Paris dugout. The Spanish head coach continues to evolve his tactical principles while maintaining the highest possible standards across the squad.
Dressing Room Leaders Maintain Relentless Standards
The hunger for trophies remains just as strong among the Parisian dressing room leaders. The football advisor has noted the rise of João Neves and Vitinha, who previously developed under Sérgio Conceição at FC Porto. That determination is fully shared by captain Marquinhos, right-back Achraf Hakimi, and forward Ousmane Dembélé, with all three entirely focused on winning silverware.
The October 2026 fixture list will quickly test this squad in the Champions League. Paris Saint-Germain travel to face Manchester City on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The Parisians will then host FC Barcelona on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
